The last time I read a book by Daniel Pennac was at the very least fifteen years ago.

Reacquainting myself with his style and characters feels like meeting up with an old friend you had lost sight of and are pleased to have bumped into. It takes a few pages to feel comfortable, a couple more to feel fully immersed in the conversation and by the time it’s over, the inevitable sense of loss is even more acute. Fortunately, as you can see by the cover below, there’s a part two coming, very soon, I hope.
